The science of a pouch
What is in a pouch, and what is not
What is actually in it
- Caffeine per puck. The only active ingredient in the tin.
- 100mg
- Nicotine, tobacco and sugar. None of it, in any flavor.
- 0mg
- Ingredients in total. The full list is below — there is nothing else in there.
- 10
- Pouches per puck, so a puck is roughly a working week.
- 15
Figures are per pouch, taken from the product specification rather than from a trial. VYRL is a caffeine product intended for adults. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
Ten ingredients. One of them does the work.
Caffeine is our key active ingredient. The other nine are the pouch itself: a cellulose base to hold its shape, MCT oil and natural flavor, a little salt and citric acid, three sweeteners, and silicon dioxide to keep it all free-flowing.
Against the alternatives

Still curious?
What is in a pouch?
Caffeine (100 mg), microcrystalline cellulose, natural flavor, MCT oil, sodium chloride, sucralose, silicon dioxide, citric acid, rebaudioside M, acesulfame potassium.
Is 100 mg a lot of caffeine?
It is roughly a strong cup of coffee. Common guidance for healthy adults is to stay under 400 mg a day from all sources, so a pouch is a serving, not a limit.
What are rebaudioside M and acesulfame potassium?
Sweeteners. Rebaudioside M is a steviol glycoside from the stevia leaf; acesulfame potassium and sucralose are non-nutritive sweeteners. Together they are what make a pouch taste of something without adding sugar.
Is any of this a medical claim?
No. VYRL is a caffeine product, not a medicine. Nothing here has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and nothing is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
